Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter, also called Ari Lennox, a Washington, D.C.-based American singer/songwriter, was signed by the label's the first artist of female gender with Dreamville Records by J. Cole. The first single, Pho was released on the 21st of October, 2016 and was released by Dreamville Records. The singer began to earn notoriety. Shea Butter Baby is her debut album. It came out on May 19, 2019. Ari Lennox has been uploading her music since 2012 with her release of her debut mixtape "Five Finger Discount" and her EP Ariography. The year 2014 saw her continue to upload her music via the internet including her independently launched single Bound. In the year 2015, she performed on Omen's Elephant Eyes album on Sweat it out on July 21st. J. Cole asked her to collaborate with him for Rihanna's references. In the following calendar, her songs circulated around Dreamville. She officially was signed to Dreamville Records on 8 December. Backseat, a track she recorded with Cozz in The Revenge of the Dreamers II collaboration album. In the month of October, she released her first EP Pho. Ari Lennox appeared in J. Cole's Change song and opened her own tour, the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour 2017. In 2018 she guest-starred on two songs alongside her labelmates EarthGang to Nothing but the Best. And Bas On Icarus. Ari Lennox, on the 16th of July 2018 was the first artist to release her single "Whipped Cream" from Shea Butter Baby. The music video to accompany it came out on the 5th. Her second single Grampa on November 9. Then, in November 2013, she released her debut album No One, and Pedigree. She appeared with Cole on the Creed II Soundtrack on Shea Butter Baby, on November 16and later released the song as a single by herself for her first album. In February of 2019, a music clip was released to promote the song. It has already received more than 3 million views on YouTube within its initial week. The singer was a supporting artist for 6LACK in their From East Atlanta With Love Tour in December 2018.
